During his podcast this week, Minihane was asked about Portnoy’s interest in the Michigan Senate race. Portnoy has recently targeted Democratic nominee Abdul El-Sayed on social media, further using Fox platforms to air his grievances just as he has previously with New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). And Minihane ripped Portnoy for being willing to have political conversations on Fox News, but not with him. “I think he’s a gigantic pussy about it. But without Unnamed, Minihane noted Portnoy is more apt to do shows and podcasts with hosts who won’t push back on any of his opinions. “We got a boss [Dave Portnoy] who’s like, ‘I don’t want to do Unnamed anymore because I don’t want to talk politics. And I’m on f*cking Fox News talking about the f*cking r*tard who’s on every f*cking political show in the world.’ You idiot.” Minihane recently shared plans of revamping his own podcast next year, whether that be at Barstool or somewhere else. The former sports radio host also teased he doesn’t expect to get re-signed by Barstool. But his uncertain future clearly won’t prevent Minihane from calling his boss out when warranted.
