For more information, check out the feature overview video and the list of changes below.
Added a PlayStation 5 Pro version of the game, optimized to take advantage of the console’s hardware for smoother gameplay and enhanced visual quality:
Adds support for PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR). PSSR is an AI-powered upscaling technology dedicated for PlayStation 5 Pro. The image is rendered at a lower resolution, then uses PSSR to upscale it, allowing you to maintain high performance.Includes optimized ray-traced object queries and improved ray-tracing cache to reduce shadow popping.Implements BVH8 (8-way Bounding Volume Hierarchy) support to enhance the performance and efficiency of ray-traced lighting, shadows, and reflections.Implements the VRS (Variable Rate Shading) algorithm for optimized shading.Introduces 3 Graphics Modes:Ray Tracing Mode enables ray-traced reflections on vehicle paint and transparent objects, with all shadows rendered using ray tracing, at a stable 60 FPS. This is the default setting and our recommended way to experience the game on PlayStation 5 Pro.Performance Mode ensures smooth gameplay, targeting 60 FPS on regular display, and up to 90 FPS on VRR-enabled displays.Ray Tracing Pro Mode adds ray-traced skylight, ray-traced emissive lighting and ray-traced ambient occlusion, running at 40 FPS on displays with high refresh rates (HFR). If your display does not support HFR, it targets 30 FPS instead. |
