After the controversial comedian quipped that women at the gym “just dress like whores now” during his monologue, a number of celebrities, including Dan Levy, Maren Morris, and Flavor Flav, have expressed their disdain.

On Monday, fellow former SNL castmate Ego Nwodim seemingly joined in, posting a photo of herself at the gym to her Instagram Story with the caption, “Whore reporting for duty.” Nwodim, who starred on SNL from 2018 to 2025, also posted a photo of her breakfast — what looks to be a pretty good set of poached eggs and hashbrowns — to her story, writing, “Getting my 30 grams of protein in after heauxing.” Both stories appear to have been posted in response to Gillis’s Saturday-night monologue, in which he made fun of women working out in shorts with “wrinkles [that] go around the cheeks and all combine at the butthole.” “You’re not allowed to look,” he continued. “For real, don’t look, because they are filming.

I’m in the background of ten TikToks right now.” While gross, Gillis’s bit does not come as a surprise. He was fired from an SNL staff job in 2019 just five days after the show announced his hiring, prompting his history of using racist and homophobic slurs to go viral on Twitter. At the time, he sort of apologized, writing in yet another tweet, “I’m a comedian who pushes boundaries … I sometimes miss.” Since being fired, he has been invited back to host the show three times (in 2024, 2025, and 2026), so clearly SNL still sees some value in his off-color humor.
